Windows 12 may be coming in 2024, according to a report! Microsoft seems to be preparing to change the release cadence for new Windows versions, according to a new report by Windows Central‘s Zac Bowden. Microsoft is apparently going back to the old way of releasing new Windows versions, releasing major new Windows versions every three years or so, meaning we could be getting Windows 12 in 2024. According to the report, Microsoft has seemingly canceled what would have been next year’s major update (known as Sun Valley 3) – and instead will wait for 2024, three years after the original release of Windows 11 – to release the next version of Windows (presumably Windows 12). However, that doesn’t mean Windows 11 users will be left with nothing new to try out in the meantime. Microsoft is going to be dropping new features for current Windows 11 users, so some of the features Insiders get to try out will make their way to the general public before the next major Windows release. These featur...

UI vs. UX What’s the difference between the user interface and user experience? At the most basic level, the user interface (UI) is the series of screens, pages, and visual elements—like buttons and icons—that enable a person to interact with a product or service. On the other hand, user experience (UX) is the internal experience that a person has as they interact with every aspect of a company’s products and services. It’s common for folks to use these terms interchangeably or incorrectly. If you’ve ever wondered, “What is UI, what is UX, and what’s the difference between them?” today we’ll dig a bit deeper into UI and UX to better understand their differences. What is UI? Simply put, a user interface (UI) is anything a user may interact with to use a digital product or service. This includes everything from screens and touchscreens, keyboards, sounds, and even lights. To understand the evolution of UI, however, it’s helpful to learn a bit more about its history and how it has ev...

UI vs. UX Design: What’s the Difference? User interface (UI) and user experience (UX) are two words that you might hear mentioned frequently in tech circles (and sometimes interchangeably). But what do the terms actually mean, and what does it mean to be a UX or UI designer? UI refers to the screens, buttons, toggles, icons, and other visual elements that you interact with when using a website, app, or other electronic devices. UX refers to the entire interaction you have with a product, including how you feel about the interaction. While UI can certainly have an impact on UX, the two are distinct, as are the roles that designers play. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at how the roles of UX designer and UI designer overlap and differ, and how to know which you should pursue. Finally, we’ll discuss options for getting started, even if you don’t have a degree or previous experience. Difference between UI and UX Developing a product that people love often requires both good UI an...

Google UX Design Professional Certificate! Alhamdulillah !❤️ After 6 months, I have finally completed the Googe UX Design course on Coursera. The certification had 7 unique and challenging courses taking me through all stages of design in a fun and interactive way. I understood and learned Adobe XD and Figma through the course challenges, the 2 significant tools in UX design are something I am very confident to use now. I would highly recommend this course if you are someone looking to enter the world of UX! After completing Google UX Design Course, I got Google Badge, Adobe Subscription & Figma Education license. ❤️💕

Webb Captures Stellar Gymnastics in The Cartwheel Galaxy! A large pink, speckled galaxy resembling a wheel with a small, inner oval, with dusty blue in between on the right, with two smaller spiral galaxies about the same size to the left against a black background. Credits: NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has peered into the chaos of the Cartwheel Galaxy, revealing new details about star formation and the galaxy’s central black hole. Webb’s powerful infrared gaze produced this detailed image of the Cartwheel and two smaller companion galaxies against a backdrop of many other galaxies. This image provides a new view of how the Cartwheel Galaxy has changed over billions of years. The Cartwheel Galaxy, located about 500 million light-years away in the Sculptor constellation, is a rare sight. Its appearance, much like that of the wheel of a wagon, is the result of an intense event – a high-speed collision between a large spiral galaxy and a smaller galaxy not visi...

$1B Giant Magellan Telescope to Have 4x the Resolution of James Webb ! The Giant Magellan Telescope, the most powerful telescope ever engineered, has secured a new $205M funding infusion that will be used to accelerate its construction. When finished, it will be four times more powerful than the James Webb Space Telescope. According to the Giant Magellan Telescope Organization (GMTO), the investment is one of the largest funding rounds for the telescope since its founding and will be used to manufacture the giant 12-story telescope structure that will be housed at the Las Campanas Observatory in Chile’s the Atacama Desert. When finished, the Giant Magellan Telescope will have ten times the light collecting area and four times the spatial resolution of the James Webb Space Telescope (10 times the resolution of the Hubble Space Telescope). It will also be 200 times more powerful than any current existing research telescope. While no firm date for its completion has been noted, comm...

First Images from the James Webb Space Telescope! The dawn of a new era in astronomy has begun as the world gets its first look at the full capabilities of NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, a partnership with ESA (European Space Agency) and CSA (Canadian Space Agency). The telescope’s first full-color images and spectroscopic data were released during a televised broadcast at 10:30 a.m. EDT (14:30 UTC) on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. These listed targets below represent the first wave of full-color scientific images and spectra the observatory has gathered and the official beginning of Webb’s general science operations. They were selected by an international committee of representatives from NASA, ESA, CSA, and the Space Telescope Science Institute. These first images from the world’s largest and most powerful space telescope demonstrate Webb at its full power, ready to begin its mission to unfold the infrared universe.
